What belongs to the venues
Every price, menu, event date and venue name here started on that venue's own website. Those facts are theirs, and so are their names and their logos. We quote them, say when we last checked, and link back to the page we read them on — that link is on every deal, and it is the whole basis of the site.
What belongs to us
The work around the facts: deciding which offers are worth listing at all, describing each one, filing it under a day, a price, a category and any condition attached to it, checking it against the venue's page and taking it down when it stops being true, and the words on these pages. That compilation, and this site's name, writing and design, are copyright Burlington on a Budget.
A single price is a fact, and nobody owns a fact. Several hundred of them, gathered, sorted, checked and written up, is a different thing, and that is the part we are asking you to leave alone.
Personal use — that is what it is for
Screenshot tonight's list and send it to a friend. Link to any page here from anywhere. Print one and stick it on the fridge. Quote a listing in a post, a newsletter or a group chat. A venue is welcome to share, quote or link its own listing wherever it likes. None of that needs permission, and none of it is what this page is about.
What we ask you not to do
Copying the collection wholesale — the pages, or the index file our published snapshot ships so that search works with no server behind it — and republishing it as another listings site, feed, newsletter or app. That file is one request, and we know it: it is there so a phone can search the whole site quickly, not as an invitation to take the set.
Want to do something with it anyway? Ask. A neighbourhood newsletter, a community board, a venue pulling its own listings — the answer to those is usually yes, and it costs one conversation. Send us a note.
What this site does not promise
Deals change, kitchens close, and a page we read last night can be rewritten this morning. Everything listed was on the venue's own site when we last looked, each listing says when that was, and if the number matters to you, call ahead. Where we do not know something — a price, an end date, an address — we leave it out rather than guess at it, so a gap on this site is a gap and not a mistake.
